Privacy Policy
Watchlog — effective 3 July 2026 (app renamed from Echelon, 4 July 2026)
What Watchlog is
Watchlog is a free mobile app for tracking TV episodes and films. It shows no ads, contains no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not sell data.
Data we collect
- Account data: your email address (and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile those providers share) — used only to create and secure your account.
- Viewing data: the shows and films you track, episodes you mark watched, and watchlists — this is the product; it exists so your history syncs across devices.
- Imported data: if you use the TV Time import, the watch history contained in the file you choose is parsed on your device and stored as viewing data. The file itself is not uploaded.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Access is restricted so each account can only read and write its own records.
Third-party services
Show and film metadata (titles, artwork, air dates) is fetched from The Movie Database (TMDB). Those requests go directly from the app to TMDB and are subject to the TMDB privacy policy. We send TMDB no account information. This app uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.
Deleting your data
In the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all viewing data. You can also request deletion by email.
